The Details Make the Difference.
Another theme from our roundtable centered on how AI fits into a design workflow. The takeaway from the room was consistent, AI is a great tool to get you started but lacks the human creativity and the benefit of group collaboration to arrive at beautiful design based on real world experience. Most participants agreed AI works well at the bookends of a project. At the beginning, it's useful for generating ideas quickly, doing research, and supporting early client conversations with a range of options. At the end, it can sometimes help with rapid tweaks to certain design features for presentation, communicate ideas with project teams and even handle invoicing. Beyond that, the real value tends to stop.
That distinction is exactly why Innovant works the way we do.

We take a hands-on approach from the beginning. Understanding a project's needs, creating experience driven designs, and testing through real prototypes are steps we will not compromise on. AI can get you an idea fast, but speed comes at a cost: the hands-on decision-making that happens at every step along the way including the adjustments, considerations, the new idea moments get lost when a tool generates the whole thing for you. Those decisions are where craftsmanship lives, and they don't happen in a single AI-generated output.
That's why you won't find AI-generated designs coming out of Innovant. Every design concept is the product of a team asking why. Why this material? Why this size? Why this configuration and not another? That question is what drives thoughtful decision-making, and it's what turns a fast idea into a buildable, lasting solution.
