Working in collaboration with design leaders from SmithGroupJJR, Innovant inserted a team of experienced product designers and engineers to solve the difficult challenge of working with the imposing concrete columns in the space.

Instead of working “around” the problems created by the columns, Innovant’s design team helped the client and designer imagine the columns seamlessly dropping through the open plan furniture. Engineering presentations quickly proved the concept out.

Innovant’s ultra-robust benching line, FORm_office, was the only product in the marketplace capable of supporting the large spans caused by the columns passing through the desks. Furthermore, the unique structure of the product line actually accommodated the columns with few modifications and no impact on cost.
