The Challenge

In 2018, Lifestyle and Hospitality company Equinox partnered with ultra-chic New York interiors firm A+I to design their new global headquarters at Hudson Yards in New York City. Renowned for their signature luxury brand at their hotels and health clubs worldwide, Equinox and A+I set out to consolidate their staff and their brand in an office that would drive the aesthetic of future facilities across the globe.

The Innovant Solution

One key design element was the workstations where employees would spend a great deal of the day working. Drawing upon past experience, A+I worked closely with Innovant to validate their design intent and enhance performance and aesthetics.

Innovant’s NeoCon Gold winning Sit/Stand benching line CROSS was a perfect chassis to build upon given its minimalist yet ultra-rigid design and superior technology management features. Some of the custom elements designed for the project include rose gold perforated metal privacy screens, end of run millwork walls, collaboration tables and manager stations, storage returns with concealed CPU containment, and even the phone app that controls the Sit/Stand features of the desks.

The Result

The final result is surely to become an award winning installation that will inspire companies everywhere to appreciate the power of good design.
